Classroom Management Plan and Teaching Philosophy

My goal as a teacher is to reassure my students that they have a safety net to fall back on. School is not only about academics but social emotional growth as well. I want my students to feel that they belong in my classroom, that someone has their back and that I want them to grow and develop. I believe that at the end of the day a test score does not define who you are as a person but your mindset and goals do. I want them to all feel the empowerment of academic achievement for themselves, in their point of view. I want my students to grow to develop their characteristics and know that being themselves is the most important part. They should work in a productive classroom as part of a community where they all feel welcomed and excited to come to each day. I want to celebrate each individual’s victories. I hope to make a positive impact on each student’s life, enhance their learning and help them create their own goals and beliefs to take on their challenges with their head high up and a smile on their face and know that someone will always believe in them. I want to listen to my students and understand their input in my judgement free classroom, to encourage that everyone has a voice and it will always be heard. My students are leaders who will know that with an attitude of “I can”. We will work as a team and believe in yourselves and others. As a teacher I will cherish each student by modeling a positive attitude and maintaining respect. I know each student is capable of learning and mistakes are just as important as success. I want to be enthusiastic and create relationships where one day my students will return to my classroom and tell me about all their successes.
