Cathedral poem from wife’s POV

Cage

I feel that I was trapped within these metal bars

Each day forgetting how to fly

Even though I found the key

It’s the cage that wont say goodbye

Now the darkness seems to creep at night

I hold my breath and hope it won’t bite

No one can hear my cries

My cage only contains me inside

The keys burn each time I try

I’m blind to the light
